iMoneyNet and Domania.com Team Up
WESTBOROUGH, Mass. (April 10, 2000) - iMoneyNet, Inc.,
the nation's premier source for savings and borrowing rate
information, today announced a content partnership with Domania.com to provide
current mortgage rates to consumers. iMoneyNet will provide Domania with
information on the lowest rates in locales throughout all 50 states.
Domania.com is an independent, consumer-focused destination
dedicated to educating and empowering homeowners, buyers and sellers. Domania's
suite of tools and services includes the popular Home Price Check, the largest free
online data bank of home purchase prices, which already has been cited as a Top 10
online real estate destination by Nielsen//NetRatings.
"The best feature of the rates tracked by iMoneyNet is that
they represent the lowest rates or 'best deals' for consumers offered by local banks
and many other lenders," said Steven Kropper, president of Boston-based Domania. "The
breadth of their data furthers our mission to help people get a total picture of what's
available in the specific area where they want to live.
"We can now show people what they can expect to pay for a home,
and give them an idea of how much it'll cost to finance it. That's especially helpful
to people relocating from one state or region to another," Kropper added.
Peter Crane, vice president and managing editor, noted that iMoneyNet
is pleased to be able to show Domania users the lowest rates for such popular mortgage
products as 15-year and 30-year fixed rate loans, 1-year adjustable rate mortgages
and 30-year FHA loans.
"We provide daily updates for more than 120 U.S. markets," Crane stated.
"Our rate tables include national lenders licensed to do business in those areas plus
local mortgage programs provided by banks, thrifts and credit unions, giving users
a broad array of mortgage choices," he added.
iMoneyNet, Inc., an Informa Financial company headquartered at One Research Drive
in Westborough, Mass., comprises totally-objective rate research and analysis
produced by two companies previously known as IBC Financial Data, Inc. (money
